Editorial policy

These standards govern what we publish. They are non-negotiable unless explicitly superseded.

• No fabricated facts. We never invent nutrition values, prices, ingredients, allergens, or sources.
• Provenance by default. Every material value is traceable to a cited source.
• Normalize before comparing. Comparisons state and consistently apply their serving basis.
• Missing is not zero. Unknown values are shown as unavailable, never silently zeroed.
• Neutrality over diet ideology. We support user preferences without presenting subjective diet claims as universal truths.
• Medical humility. Foodatron offers information and decision support, not diagnosis or treatment.
• Quality over page count. We do not publish pages that lack unique, accurate, decision-relevant value.
