Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
Foodatron is an educational food-information site. We built it to be privacy-friendly by default: there are no user accounts, we don’t sell or share your data, and no advertising or cross-site tracking runs on the site.
What we collect
For ordinary visitors, we do not ask for or store any personal information — no name, email, or account. Specifically:
- First-party usage analytics. To understand which pages are useful, we record anonymous events (for example, “food page viewed” with the page’s slug). These are tied to a random identifier stored in your browser’s local storage — not a cookie, and not linked to your identity. We do not store your IP address or any personal data with these events.
- Optional third-party analytics (only with consent). If enabled, Google Analytics 4 and/or Microsoft Clarity help us measure traffic. These set cookies, so they load only after you accept in the consent banner. IP addresses are anonymized in Google Analytics. You can change your choice at any time below.
- Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider may process standard technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) transiently to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not use these for tracking.
- Site operators only. An administrative area uses a first-party session cookie for the people who run Foodatron. It is not set for regular visitors.
Cookies & local storage
- Essential: a small amount of local storage remembers your theme and your analytics choice. No consent is required for these strictly necessary items.
- Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics / Microsoft Clarity only if you accept.
Manage your analytics choice
Change or withdraw your consent whenever you like. Turning analytics off stops the third-party scripts from loading.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. If you consent to third-party analytics, usage data is processed by Google (Analytics) and/or Microsoft (Clarity) under their own privacy policies, which may involve transfer to servers in the United States. Our hosting and database providers process data solely to operate the site.
Your rights
Foodatron is operated from Israel and handles data in line with Israel’s Privacy Protection Law. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under other laws (for example the EU/UK GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA) to access, correct, or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. Because we don’t maintain accounts or store personal profiles, we usually hold no personal data about you. To make a request or ask a question, email us at support@mega-maser.com.
Children
Foodatron is a general-audience information site and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
