Fill in the fields above and press Calculate.

How it’s calculated: US Navy circumference method (neck, waist, and hip for women). Estimates for educational use — not medical advice.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the Navy body-fat method?
It’s typically within about 3–4% of a DEXA scan for most people — good enough to track change over time, though not as precise as lab methods.
How do I measure my waist and neck?
Measure the neck below the larynx, the waist at the navel (men) or the narrowest point (women), and, for women, the hips at the widest point. Keep the tape snug and level.
What is a healthy body-fat percentage?
Roughly 14–24% for men and 21–31% for women is a typical healthy range, varying with age and fitness. Athletes are often lower.
